A Comparative Analysis of Microcontroller Performance in DC Motor Control Applications

This study compares the performance of three microcontrollers (Mega 2560, STM32F407, and TMS320F28379) in controlling DC motor speed. Experimental models were developed using Matlab/Simulink to evaluate the controllers' real-time performance and response. Results demonstrate the superior performance of TMS320F28379 in high-speed applications due to its specialized peripherals. This study provides a foundation for selecting suitable controllers in complex control systems.
