Manufacturing research of a multi-mode speed governor signal receiver fitted on diesel 6v53 engine

This paper presents the results of the manufacturing research of a speed governor signal receiver mounted on a Detroit Diesel 6V53 engine. The authors use Arduino Nano V3.0 to process the information received from Encoders mounted on the fuel gauge. An algorithm is built to calculate the conversion of the received information to display on the computer screen. App Meter is developed to display the actual values from the speed regulation when the engine is running. The obtained data from the speed governor signal receiver is the engine speed, the displacement of the corresponding fuel gauge, and the speed control spring compression. Research results serve as a basis for analyzing and evaluating the stable and unstable working conditions of Diesel engines. Research results also provide the information to evaluate the fuel consumption. Research results will serve for in-depth studies on the characteristics of the speed governor on Diesel engines.
